To date, there have been no specific cases. At our facilities, we have subjected all our models to the frost susceptibility testing indicated in the legislation that governs the product. The results have been satisfactory in all cases, thereby classifying the product as not susceptible to frost. Moreover, we have experience with the installation of our product in very cold areas such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Russia, and the product’s behaviour with respect to freezes has been excellent.
To date, there have been no specific cases. At our facilities, we have subjected all our models to blooming tests according to specific procedures drawn up by the Quality Department. The results have been satisfactory in all cases, thereby classifying the product as non-blooming. All the testing results have been obtained using adhesive cements and joint mortars distributed by ECOPIEDRA, S.L., under the ECOCEMENT brand. We have no experience with other materials. Before installing the material, we recommend checking and resolving any problem referring to the facade’s insulation, both at the bottom and the top, to prevent infiltrations of water and therefore undesired stains on the exposed face of the product.
Yes, it is necessary, given that this will prevent the adhesive cement and the joint mortar from drying out, and the mixture will thus maintain the optimum humidity conditions for setting.
It has also been shown that on damp pieces it is easier to remove the remains of cement both during and after installation
Before installing, it is advisable to lay out all the material on the ground, thereby arranging the desired composition according to the dimensions of the pieces and their colours.
To clean of the remains of cement after the installation is complete, use clean running water and a brush with bristles of medium hardness to brush the surface until the cement is eliminated.
It is advisable during the installation process to clean the remains of cement (using a damp cloth) as you advance with the installation, thereby preventing the cement remains from drying out and making it harder to eliminate.
This change in colouring is due to two factors:
1) Because the material has not dried completely, and therefore zones appear on the pieces that are darker than the photographs shown in the catalogues.
2) Because our product is a rustic material and because the design includes small colour variations with respect to the photographs that are shown in the catalogues, and despite the fact that all lots are manufactured the same way, there are small deviations that cause these changes. It is advisable to allow the material to dry before installing it. If, once the material is dry, the colour is not to your liking, it will be necessary to contact the customer service department of ECOPIEDRA.
